The property itself appeared to be relatively new, with tasteful decor and well-equipped amenities. One aspect that stood out to me was the attention to detail provided by the owner, Ellen. Despite not speaking with her directly, her previous communication and thoughtfulness in providing basic provisions like bread and milk added a welcoming touch to our visit. the provision of fruit and fresh free-range eggs further exemplified her generosity. While we did encounter some difficulty finding the cottage, this was more due to our own oversight in not having access to proper directions. Overall, Maydene Cottage offered a comfortable and cozy retreat, with a personal touch that made for a memorable stay.
